How Disconnecting and Uninstalling Affect Your Data
Ending the HubSpot integration stops RevOps and HubSpot from exchanging data. It does not delete data in either product. This page explains what changes in your HubSpot account and in RevOps, so you know what to expect before you disconnect or uninstall.
Disconnecting in RevOps or uninstalling in HubSpot
You can end the integration from either product. Both keep the data already in HubSpot and in RevOps, but they leave the integration in a different state.
Disconnecting in RevOps (recommended)
RevOps removes the connection and uninstalls the RevOps app from your HubSpot account in the same step. You don't need to do anything in HubSpot.
If the same HubSpot account is still connected in your other RevOps mode, the app stays installed. See Production and sandbox mode.
Uninstalling in HubSpot only
HubSpot removes the RevOps app, but RevOps still shows HubSpot as connected. Deals stop syncing because RevOps can no longer reach your HubSpot account. Disconnect HubSpot from RevOps to finish removing the integration.
Your HubSpot account
When the RevOps app is uninstalled, HubSpot removes the app and everything it provides in your account:
- The RevOps card no longer appears on deal and company records.
- RevOps stops receiving updates from HubSpot when contacts, companies, and deals change.
- RevOps no longer appears under Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps.
When you disconnect from RevOps, HubSpot emails your account's Super Admins to tell them the app was uninstalled. The email includes a link to reinstall the app.
Your HubSpot data
Data that RevOps already wrote to HubSpot stays in HubSpot. It is not deleted, but RevOps no longer updates it. This includes:
- Line items synchronized from RevOps deals, and deal amounts.
- Contacts created or updated from RevOps, and company details updated from RevOps.
- Values in deal and line item properties you mapped to RevOps fields.
- Notes added to deals, such as approval summaries.
- Signed contract PDFs, which stay in the RevOps.io Signed Contracts folder in your HubSpot files and remain attached to their deals.
- The RevOps Metadata property group and its properties on line items and notes.
If you no longer want this data, you can remove it in HubSpot.
Your RevOps data
Disconnecting does not delete anything in RevOps:
- Existing deals are kept, including completed and signed deals.
- Deals keep their link to the HubSpot deal they were created from, along with the contacts, addresses, and line items imported from HubSpot.
- Your HubSpot mappings, variables, and integration settings are kept.
While HubSpot is disconnected, new deals and changes to existing deals do not sync to or from HubSpot.
Production and sandbox mode
RevOps production mode and sandbox mode can be connected to the same HubSpot account. Because both modes use the same installation of the RevOps app, disconnecting one mode does not uninstall the app. The app is uninstalled when the second mode is disconnected, so the mode that is still connected keeps working.
Reconnecting
You can connect HubSpot again at any time from Settings > Integrations > HubSpot. Your mappings, variables, and settings are still in place. If you reconnect the same HubSpot account, existing deals continue to sync with the HubSpot deals they were linked to.
Deleting personal data (GDPR)
RevOps does not process GDPR deletion requests from HubSpot after the integration is disconnected. If you need existing data deleted in a GDPR-compliant way, email support@revops.io. For more on how HubSpot handles these requests, see HubSpot's guide on performing a GDPR delete.
