Managing User Roles & Permissions

‍ Users may have multiple roles. If a User has multiple roles they will received the combined set of permissions available. ‍

Administrator

‍ As an Admin, you will have access to all management and configuration settings for the entire application. In addition to setting up RevOps, Admins can edit any deals, manage and override any guardrail and approvals, and administer Users. ‍ Users with this role can access everything  including:

  • Create, approve, and manage deals
  • Manage signatories for deals
  • Create, update, and delete SKUs and terms
  • Create, update, and delete workflows
  • Create, update, and delete templates
  • Add and remove users and teams
  • Configure integrations

Deal Desk Manager

‍ As a Deal Desk Manager, you will have access to all management and configuration of deals. Deal Desk Managers can edit any deals, override all guardrails and approvals, and manage deal signatures. ‍ The table below shows some examples of what a User with this role can and cannot do.

Sales Manager

‍ The table below shows some examples of what a User with this role can and cannot do.

Sales Rep, Customer Success Manager, Partner Sales

‍ As a Sales Rep, Customer Success Manager, or Partner Sales you will have access to create, edit and collaborate on deals. Once approved, the deals can be shared with your customers for review and signing. ‍ The roles of Sales Rep, Customer Success Manager, and Partner Sales all have the same set of permissions.  ‍ The table below shows some examples of what a User with these roles can and cannot do.

General User

‍ As a General User, you will have access to view and comment on deals. Users with this role cannot create, update, and sign deals, nor can they access and manage other areas of the application. ‍ The table below shows some examples of what a User with this role can and cannot do.

Developer

‍ As a Developer, you will have access to most areas of the platform through the REST API as well as configuring and managing integrations to and from RevOps.  ‍ Developers can access most features through the Sandbox mode. However, additional roles will need to be added if the User will be accessing features through the Live instance of the application. ‍ The table below shows some examples of what a User with this role can and cannot do.

Finance

‍ As a Finance user, you will have access to manage the billing information. ‍ The table below shows some examples of what a User with this role can and cannot do.
